MARSALA Superior Ambra Garibaldi Sweet DOC
It is said that the "hero of two worlds", Giuseppe Garibaldi , returned to Marsala on 19 July 1862. He was a guest of Count Grignani and from the balcony of his palace in Porta Nuova he pronounced the fateful words "OR ROME OR DEATH" . The many people from Marsala who came and organized celebrations worthy of his fame for the occasion were particularly fascinated by him.
When the General tasted the famous liqueur wine, already marketed all over the world thanks to the Englishman Benjamin Ingham , he particularly appreciated the Superiore Dolce, which from that day on, in his honor, will be called GARIBALDI DOLCE .
